Infant To Kindergarten Swim Levels – Ages 6 months to 5 years:

Water Angels

For ages 6-19 months with their parent or caregiver. Through songs, fun and instructional games, students learn to be comfortable in the water & learn buy cheap seroquel online basic water skills. *Adult must accompany baby in the water*

Water Tots

For ages 20 months – 3 years old with their parent or caregiver. Through songs, fun and instructional games, students learn to be comfortable in the water & learn basic water skills. *Adult must accompany baby in the water*

Angelfish with caregiver

For ages 3-5 years old with their parent or caregiver.

Class goal: Water adjustment, learn basic swimming skills. Children go in the water with a floatation belt and the grown ups are in the water to help the children while being led by the teacher to learn how to kick, blow bubbles, water adjustment, float and swim. This class is for children 3-5 years old who are not quite ready to go in the water without their caregiver. *child must be 3 years old by the beginning of the class session*

Angelfish

For ages 3-6 years old. This class is for children who have never swam or have very little experience with swimming.

Class goal: Water adjustment; learn basic swimming skills (kicking, arms movement; develop coordination; blow bubbles; submerge face or head under water).

Angelfish Plus

For ages 3-6 years old. This class is for children who are comfortable in the water who still need to learn how to swim.

Class Goal:  learn basic swimming skills (kicking, arms movement; develop coordination; blow bubbles; submerge face or head under water).

Butterflyfish with Belts

For ages 3-6 years old.   For children who can swim independently with their face in the water (while blowing bubbles) with a flotation device.

Class goal: swim the width of the pool unassisted; swim under water; learn basic swimming skills for front crawl; perfect rhythmic breathing.

Butterflyfish No Belts

For ages 3-6 years old. This class is for children who can swim the width of the pool unassisted with their face in the water and half the pool length with basic freestyle.

Class Goal: rhythmic breathing; freestyle arms; and kicking techniques.

Catfish

For children 3 to 6 years old who can already swim the length of the pool comfortably without a float.

Class goal: develop accurate free style technique; build general endurance; and introduction to back stroke technique

Youth Swim Levels – Ages 6-14:

Barracuda

For non-swimmers.

Class goal: teach water adjustment; overcome fear of water; learn rhythmic breathing; learn front crawl technique; develop stroke coordination; swim under water.

Blue Marlin

For beginner swimmers who can swim half a pool length.

Class goal: perfect the front crawl technique, learn rotary breathing, build basic endurance, swim in deep water, and swim one length of the pool front crawl.

Sailfish

For swimmers who can swim one length of the pool front crawl with proper rotary breathing.

Class goal: perfect front crawl techniques, build endurance, learn to swim backstroke, dive and tread water.

Swordfish

For advanced swimmers that swim 1 to 2 lengths of the pool front crawl and back stroke with proper technique.

Class goal: develop endurance, speed, strength, perfect front crawl, backstroke technique with starts and turns, swim 2 lengths of the pool front crawl and backstroke with proper technique; breaststroke technique; butterfly kick technique.

Dolphin level I and II

Youth level, age 6-14 / Level I – 45 min class / Level II -90 min class

Advance level. Swimmers enrolled in our swordfish classes for more than one session are strongly encouraged to join this class! Dolphin level I is focused on working on 4 strokes while level II (available at Erasmus HS only) is on building endurance. Swimmers should have prior knowledge of all four strokes and be able to swim 25 yards of each stroke, except butterfly.
